
Caring for our skin and external body is a crucial aspect of our overall wellness. As a big fan of Ayurvedic practice, I regularly use oils after my showers. 1. Yoga/Meditation

According to Ayurveda, the best time to exercise is during the Kapha period of the day. Kapha starts at 6 am and ends at 10 am and repeats in the evening between 6 pm and 10 pm. During this period, our muscular strength naturally increases, making it an ideal time to find bodily harmony. Exercising during Kapha can counterbalance feelings of heaviness and lethargy.
After your physical practice, finish off with a short meditation. Allow this to cleanse the mind. Depending on which Kapha cycle you’re in, either set an intention for the new day or clear your mind for a restful sleep.

2. Self Massaging/ Moisturizing
It is recommended to spend 15 minutes on self-massaging every day, according to Ayurveda. By dedicating this time to your body, you can relieve any stress or tension. Additionally, daily oil massage offers several health benefits, including improved circulation, lymphatic drainage, softer skin, and better sleep patterns. This small ritual nourishes your body from the inside out.
Try massaging with an Ayurvedic oil with cooling herbs in summer and a warming, sesame-based oil in winter.
3. Rest

Getting deep and restful sleep is a crucial aspect of Ayurvedic practice. Sleep repairs, renews, and rejuvenates our bodies. It helps us feel more physically and mentally balanced when awake and can even increase our lifespan.
If you have difficulty falling or staying asleep, simple Ayurveda rituals can help. Create a steady routine – go to bed simultaneously every night. Before bed, slow down the body & mind. Drink herbal tea, massage the bottoms of your feet with sesame oil, and meditate.

Nature helps us recognize that our bodies are also in a constant state of change and renewal. Nature is filled with wisdom and holds a profound state of connectedness.
